My Say to Iron Man 3 Movie

The Leading Character
Tony Stark has pretty much evolved its character from being incessantly talkative to a more reflective individual –well that is actually because of the sickness he is having. He jokes less however his brilliant mind has fascinated me even more. His ability to think fast, to decide fast, and to plot fast has left me in awe. Now I have fully understand the teaser tagline does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man? because from the preceded movie of Iron Man, Tony Stark always fights with an armor on his body but the struggle of the Tony Stark himself in Iron Man 3 makes me to feel like he is actually a superhero. Buddha once said, “It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand bottles”, but how would I not love and appraise Iron Man 3 when he actually wins both – himself and the battle.

The Story
“Genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist.”  That is how Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) has defined himself from the crossover movie, The Avengers.

The story has its flashback in the year 1999 where he has encountered Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) - ugly, crippled, scientist man. Stark has managed to escape from Killian’s stalking and the present day has flashed on the screen with the new mansion of Stark with oceans view and the marvelous laboratory of him with Jarvis (voice of Paul Bettany), the artificial intelligence of Stark's powerful system.

While being obsessed making many design armors, he is also having problems with Pepper (Gwyneth Paltrow), his girlfriend, regarding some quality time since it is Christmas. Eventually, it is to reveal that he is actually having anxiety problems because of the thing happened in saving the world with the do-or-die earth and universe portal encounter in The Avengers movie.

Killian has come back but now a drop-dead-gorgeous man and a successful businessman of AIM. Meanwhile, there has been terrorist attack who claims that its mastermind is The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) but it is only a cover-up of the Extremis project – an experimented disabled human is healed through some DNA that regenerates broken limbs and with an extraordinary power of fire in the body, where the leader is actually Killian.

Worth watching?
Whether you hate the Iron Man 1 & 2, and The Avengers, I can say that you cannot hate Iron Man 3. This is the movie wherein it will teach you how to take an action when it felt like it runs out of choices. Col. Rhodes/Iron Patriot (Don Cheadle) and Tony Stark’s team up will always never let ignominy be invited and Pepper has also shown her ability to save Tony. The funny scenes are inserted naturally plus having a 10-year old cast (Ty Simpkins as Harley) has surely captured kid’s fathom.

However the concept of Starks’ having many suits to help them win the battle is quite similar to Iron Man 2’s strategy of his enemy, Ivan Vanko, where he has made the army and the navy to attack Rhodes and Stark. In Iron Man 3, Stark’s suits has helped them Killian and the corporation get killed.

The ending of the story quite has emotional blow when Tony Stark has decided to let go of something, yet still claims to be the Iron Man. Yay! What will be the Iron Man 4's story?

  4. I haven't watched Iron Man 3 yet since I'm stuck with a foot cast. Anyway, I had to skip the story part as not to give any spoilers. But I'm definitely watching it, that's how crazed I am with this comic book character.

  6. I liked how Iron Man 3 was not as brooding and as serious as the previous movie. Robert Downey, Jr. carried the entire movie with his wit and gravitas. Ben Kingsley was no slouch either. I also liked how the movie can have a serious plot and message and still be funny at the same time.

  8. I like Iron Man better than Batman. There's just more depth in his character. I like him even more now because Robert Downey Jr. is playing him.

  16. Oh, this kind of spoiler-ish, good thing I've already seen Iron Man 3! Hubby and I love Iron Man, part of it is the story itself and how the movie was made and the other half is how RDJ portrayed Iron Man. I am yet to read the comics but would love to know more Iron Man in its original format.
