Review: Human Nature Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner

Every single day is filled with different battles that inevitably stress us. We each have our own way of coping with such tension. For others, like me, changing our hairstyle is just one of those remedies. After all, we feel good whenever we see something new, right? One of the best accessories that a girl can have is her hair. Straight, short, wavy, and colored locks are just a few hair styles that a girl can have. However, constant exposure to heat styling and chemicals can take a toll on our hair. Thus, moisturizing is a must.

I just had my hair permed by Status Salon in Timog, QC three months ago. The hair is very charming, yet at the back of my mind, I had this fear that my hair will get damaged. To reassure myself, I was tempted to buy high-end products that promise to restore my hair's healthy condition. I may have made up my mind to take those expensive products home, but my pocket wasn't prepared to spend any more money. So, I ended up using commercialized shampoo and conditioner while I researched for the best shampoo and conditioner especially made for permed hair that won't put a dent on my wallet. While researching, I noticed that many people are raving about Human Nature products. I saw their Natural Moisturizing Shampoo and Conditioner available in Lush Vanilla and Mandarin Fresh.

Lush Vanilla
Shampoo Ingredients: aqua, sodium cocoyl isethionate (coconut derived), decyl glucoside (coconut derived), sodium lactate (sugarcane derived), persea gratissima (avocado) oil, olus (vegetable) oil, Cocos nucifera (coconut) nectar, dicaprylyl ether (vegetable derived), guar gum, levulinic acid (rice or corn derived), xantham gum, Aloe barbadensis (aloe vera) leaf juice, fragrance (natural). phytic acid (rice derived), citric acid, anisic acid (anise seed derived)

Conditioner Ingredients: aqua, cetrimonium chloride (palm/vegetable oil derived). cetyl alcohol (coconut derived), organic Eucheuma spinosum extract, organic Persea Americana oil, organic Cocos nucifera oil, Rosmarinus officnalis extract, tocopherol (vitamin E), panthenol (vitamin B5), potassium sorbate (natural preservative), fragrance (natural), citric acid (natural preservative)

  • has seaweed extract for a healthy luster
  • avocado oil with omega-3 for rich moisture
  • organic virgin coconut oil for an extra dose of softness
Prices:
P 300 - 500 ml
P145 - 200 ml
P50 - 50 ml

I bought the Lush Vanilla first, because it is my favorite scent. However, it's kind of weird that its scent is not what I expected. At least not how common vanilla scents smell. This is when I found out that most of the vanilla scents used in some popular products are made using too many chemicals which is why the fragrance is different. Human Heart Nature products are formulated using natural ingredients, and some of which were first used by the brand. Instead of feeling disappointed with the scent, I came to love it more now since I know how much of a true blue nature-lover Human Nature is.
Shampoo - 200 ml; Conditioner - 200 ml

Mandarin Fresh
Shampoo ingredients: Same ingredients with Lush Vanilla with the addition of the following - sodium gluconate (sugarcane derived), citrus sinensis (orange) oil, Cymbopogon citratus (lemongrass) oil

Conditioner ingredients: Same ingredients with Lush Vanilla with addition of the following - citrus sinensis essential oil, Cymbopogan citratus essential oil

  • CREAMFoam Technology for nature's nourishment
  • Avocado oil with omega-3 for rich moisture
  • Philippine coco nectar for vitamins, minerals, & amino acids\
Prices:
P 290 - 500 ml
P130 - 200 ml
P45 - 50 ml

The scent of the Mandarin Fresh shampoo and conditioner is more potent than the Lush Vanilla. In fact, my mom would immediately know that I took a bath from the scent it leaves in our bathroom. Moreover, the Mandarin Shampoo fizzes more than the other variant. However, when it comes to moisturizing my hair, the Vanilla Lush does the job much better as it gives me softer and tangle-free hair after I use it.
Shampoo - 500 ml; Conditioner - 200 ml

When it comes to usage, I tend to use more shampoo than conditioner so much so that when I tried the Mandarin Fresh set, I decided to purchase the bigger shampoo bottle and the smaller bottle for the conditioner. Both variants' consistency is quite runny, so don't be surprised since it's different from the majority of the shampoos in the market. However, the consistency of their conditioners is similar to regular conditioners. Also, this product is made for damaged hair in general. In short, it can be used for permed, colored, or dry hair.

After using Human Nature when I got my hair permed, my locks no longer felt and looked dry, I also like that these products are manufactured here in our homeland. Its price is much cheaper, but it delivers good results.

Disclaimer: I posted this review not because I'm selling the products, but because I personally use them, and I'm happy with the results I get. I just thought it would be agood idea to share my two cents. Cheers!
