Tree-lighting Event at Tutuban Center

The historically and culturally rich Tutuban’s sky line lit up recently with the holding of the traditional giant Christmas tree lighting ceremony inside Tutuban Center’s expansive grounds.

A yearly tradition done as a highlight of the celebration of Bonifacio Day in Tutuban, the ceremony hopes to remind everyone that the Yuletide Season is already at hand. Prior to the official switching of the lights, the ceremony was preceded by lots of entertainment and fun activities before Tutuban Properties, Inc. (TPI) executives and VIP guests gathered near the base of the giant Christmas tree and turned on the lights after a heart-pounding countdown, sending the crowd into a frenzy as the tree finally lit up to become a giant beaming and glittering beacon of hope for many during these trying times.

Shown in picture are (from left) Mr. Kits R. Aquino, Tutuban Properties, Inc.’s SVP-General Manager and celebrities like Larry Cruz, Joey Acosta, Jake Vargas and Mr. German Moreno.

A fireworks display followed that littered the night sky with vivid colors as the festivities continued on through the night. Tutuban Center continues to be the best bargain shopping destination, especially for everyone’s Christmas shopping needs. The best gift items for the Yuletide season can be bought here at very reasonable prices.

For those who need to do their shopping in the evening after a whole day’s work, Tutuban also has its very popular Tutuban Center Night Market where everyone can joyfully complete their Christmas checklist.

  1. I didn't know Tutuban shopping center had space for a Christmas tree lol, seems so cramped there.

  2. It's cool that you guys have this tradition thing going on. We have a similar event too here in Zamboanga where they light up the christmas tree/belen/decors that surround the Zamboanga City Hall (Mayor's office).

    1. There will always be a will for Pinoys to feel the spirit o Christmas :)

  3. Oh my! I have not been to Tutuban in ages! Thanks for sharing the photo of the Tree Lighting ceremony.

  4. It's fun seeing events like this one! How I wish meron din sa place namin ng giant Christmas tree. Kahit sa mga malls wala eh. Boo. Anyway, Christmas is just a few days! I'm so excited! :)

  5. Oh wow, I haven't been to Tutuban for a while; but it's nice that they really tried to set this all up for the Christmas season :)

  6. I'd like to go to Tutuban Center to jump-start my Christmas shopping, and I sure would like to see that giant Christmas tree, too!
