Product Review: Yoko Whitening Spa Salt for the Armpit & Bikini Area

Since the summer heat is still blazing in all its glory, most people would love to hit the beach or swimming pools to freshen up. For women, it is important to have bikini-ready radiating skin, especially in the areas prone to darkening. Women know it’s hard to get rid of annoying uneven skin tone. I tried the Whitening Spa Salt from Yoko which is enriched with Vitamin E and natural herbal extract with natural salt benefits. It claims to remove dirt deposit and dead skin cells from the armpit and bikini areas. According to the text written on the packaging, you can see the effect in just 7 days!

Ingredients: Sodium Chloride, Glycerine, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Fragrance, Acanthus Ebracteatus, Vahl Leaf Powder, Andrographis Paniculata Leaf Powder, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Curcuma Longa Root Powder, Sapindus Mukurossi Fruit Powder, Rhinacanthus Nasutus Root Powder, Vitamin E, Vitamin B3

Price: PhP 65.00

It comes in a sealed pack which I was happy with since it means that the spa salt will not be doused with water. The 220-gram pack that I used lasted for two months, but I used it depending on my mood only. I’d say that if the user is persistent (if the user is patient enough to use the product regularly), the 220-gram pack might only last for a month. The color of the spa salt reminded me of brown sugar. The scent of the spa salt is not sweet. It actually smells like the usual scent we smell in wellness centers, it has a herbal extract scent. The grain is fine and it is not harsh on my skin when rubbed. It becomes yellowish when rubbed, but it rinses off easily.

Will I recommend it? Yes, because its smell is so relaxing it makes you think you’re squeaky clean. When it comes to its whitening capabilities, however, I am not so sure if it is effective or not on its own since I used it along with the Yoko Under-Arm Whitening Cream and Deodorant at the same time. I’ve stated from my review for the cream and deodorant that it has made certain areas of my body a couple of shades lighter. In addition, I strongly agree that after the spa salt makes your skin soft and smooth—dirt deposit gone! Would you use this? Raise your hands! :)

  1. Where can I buy and how much is the deo?

    1. Hi there! I bought this in Landmark, trinoma for only P65.00.while the deo and whitening cream-in-one costs P199. but I only apply the cream at night. not too reliable on a day where we usually sweat a lot.

  2. Replies
    1. Sorry. it's not php 199, it's P 174.75.

  3. This is interesting. I would love to try this soon! :)

  4. Interesting. I used a Lavander Salt one that I get from Binondo. :) I think I'll give this a try

  5. I think I've chanced upon this brand and I think it is similar to a few other whitening spa salt. I'm sure it does its job at exfoliating. But I'm not too sure about its whitening effects. :)

  6. I have seen this product some years ago, but I still go for the other brand (i forgot!) :)

It is a very affordable product for body scrub :)

  7. Interested in using this product. It's so affordable! Thanks for sharing it!

  8. Oh, that product is quite affordable. I wonder if I can find it in Watson's.

  9. Now I'm convinced to buy this along with the cream. Thanks for the review dear! :)
