Review: BYS Smudge-proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner

I wrote a post about a gel eyeliner eleven months ago, but this review is about a liquid eyeliner. I bought this BYS Smudge-proof Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner, because I was thinking of getting a job again and I wanted to change up my look. I thought about defining my eyes and using an eyeliner can help me look presentable, especially during interviews. Moreover, I’m thinking of getting a frontliner job, so it is necessary to wear long-lasting eye makeup, right? I do not know what kind of job awaits me yet, but at least I have a nifty weapon to look presentable all the time.

Ingredients

Price: Php 229 ($5.00) – 4 ml

The packaging is very simple—it’s all black and slim. What convinced me to buy this one is because the brush is fine and a little crooked. The brush is strategically curved, so it will be easier to achieve a seamless cat eye. ~_~

I usually only wear a thin layer of eyeliner (photo)

However, I wore a thicker layer in the photo below, so that you girls will see the effect clearer.
please don't mind my eye bags :p

It is fragrance-free, just like the other eyeliners. The application is very smooth. I was able to apply it swiftly without any hassle on my upper eyelids. Moreover, the fine tip allows me to draw nearer my tear duct. It does not smudge even if you intentionally smear it. However, the eyeliner easily wears off if you rub it forcefully with water. Well, at least I won’t be putting this on my lower eyelids.
Smudge-proof? Yes!
Waterproof? No!

Will I recommend it? Yes! It is quite affordable, considering that it’s Australian-made and it works well at the same time. It is highly pigmented and long lasting! It’s very easy to apply and remove, too! The brush would help you adjust whether you want your eyeliner applied thick or thin. One caution though, the tip of the brush could tickle you! Teehee.

  4. I'm still perfecting the cat eye and recently bought the liquid eye liner from Benefit. It's waterproof and smudge proof as well but the price is so aaagh expensive. :)) This one from BYS looks okay and more affordable. Too bad it's not waterproof.

  11. I sooo love liquid eyeliners! <3 I've been using Maybelline's Hyper Glossy Liquid Liner and it's kind of pricey compared to this one. Might check this one next time, it's much affordable kasi and I like it's brush too. Thanks for the review! :)
