Delite Ampalaya Plus Herbal Tea

My father has a high blood sugar level, which makes me susceptible in developing the same condition. Sometimes, I take steps to avoid ending up on the same lane as my father by choosing sugar-free drinks every time that I eat out.

After eating a heavy meal, I stand or walk for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. There are times that I drink tea as well, because drinking it after a meal helps the digestive system to function well by stimulating the production of saliva, bile, and gastric juice that promote better digestion.

I have discovered a new herbal tea called Delite Ampalaya Plus Herbal Tea. It’s infused with ampalaya (Bitter Melon), banaba (Lagerstroemia Speciosa), luyang dilaw (Turmeric), mint leaves, and calamansi (Philippine tropical lime).

Ampalaya balances the blood sugar levels in the body and it also lowers blood pressure. Banaba is also an herbal plant that helps cure diabetes. We Filipinos are lucky because banaba is a flowering plant that grows mostly in a place with a warm climate, particularly in our country. Moreover, banaba extract helps in controlling the appetite.

Luyang Dilaw is from the ginger family which is commonly used as a spice in Southeast Asian countries. I know this because I have a friend from India and he said that it’s a medicinal root. Luyang Dilaw has anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant properties, so it help prevent having Alzheimer’s disease and arthritis. Mint leaves also have anti-inflammatory properties and it also helps keep stomach cramps and acidity at bay.

Calamansi, on the other hand, is good for the skin, prevents diabetes, cures coughs, and expels the phlegm. As I drink the tea, the calamansi scent was quite overpowering that it seemed as if the drink contained no ampalaya at all (the bitter taste of ampalaya is non existent, at least for me). I can also taste a hint of ginger. Drinking this herbal tea would make you feel refreshed, too. I noticed that the powder was not totally dissolved. Perhaps this is an indication that the tea is all-natural?

It's amazing to find one drink that is healthy and delicious at the same time, right? Delite Tea is available in Mercury Drug Stores or you may want to check their website for more info.

Disclosure of Material Connection: This is from a Blogapalooza event. I received a token from Go Natural in the hope that I would mention their product in Jammy Jam Spread. Regardless, I only recommend products that I believe will be good for my readers. This blog is written by me, however, I may not be an expert so I researched for some pieces of information online.
